Co-op: Water leaking into adjacent room

Hey guys! Need some advice...

Just a little back story: bought and moved into a co-op in December and since moving in, I’ve been breaking into hives.

I’ve been taking Benadryl whenever I got them and only found the time recently to go see my dermatologist. They did confirm it was hives and it was determined it was the environment I was in since my diet / food, detergent//soap, none of that changed.

This morning my husbands using the shower and I’m in the adjacent room logging in to work. I hear water leaking behind my file cabinet , quickly got up to check to see a pool of water coming from the fall and seems like there’s water damage on the wall already too.

I called the co-op management since 8AM and explained the situation and also asked for mold testing just in case with my hive breakouts. The lady I spoke to said she’ll call me when she speaks to someone.

10AM: still no update so I call back asking if she spoke to anybody. She said “unfortunately, I haven’t spoken to anyone about it yet”. I asked her to please let me know as soon as she speaks to someone. (Btw, I’m very gentle spoken and I’m always polite when speaking to them)

10:17 AM: I’m texting my husband about the situation and he had one of the supervisors number and he said he’ll send someone out before 11AM

11:17 AM: no one came

11:19 AM: Called management office apologizing for calling so much but just wanted to know if she spoke to anybody yet. She said “actually yes, I just got off the phone and they can’t get anyone out today and just don’t use the shower. Explained to her that the water leak is by electrical and by my work computer. Also that my husband does work outside and especially with COVID, he needs to use the shower. She said she’ll try to send someone out today , but most likely tomorrow.

11:30 AM: Now I’m stressed (I’m pregnant in first trimester) and I’m worried about the water damage to the wall, existing or now spreading mold so I call again and ask nicely if there’s a manager I can speak to.

I decided to record this conversation just in case. Get transferred to one of the managers there and she explains to me there’s a plumbing issue in another apartment and cannot send anybody out today. Explained to her with my concerns and also told her that I just wanted her to know I’m recording the conversation so there’s record of me explaining the situation. Her attitude changed and said “ Since you’re recording, what I’m going to say is, have a great rest of the day and don’t record me” and hangs up.

Any advice on what I should do...? I didn’t mean for her to get offended by recording the conversation . But now I feel like no ones going to come look at it and I don’t think this should be out of my expense...

Thank you in advance...
