How are we, really?
Hey y'all, coming at you from North OC. I have been talking with friends and family who some live in east LA and have businesses downtown and others who live in La Cañada and Pasadena. It seems like a mixed bag, some say this is horrible and can't focus on anything else, while others say the city feels fine unless you are directly in the evacuation/path of the fire. Question is, do things feel "normal" to you? Personally, thinking back to bad fires OC has had (though obs not as destructive) even around me where had to evacuate, life still largely felt "normal" since fires are part and parcel of living here. So just wanted to source the sliver of LA that finds itself on this sub.
And to me, it's devastating. I don't understand how people can be okay with it. (Lack of better term)
