PSA: When a surprise patch retires Arena runs, try finishing your run on mobile without logging in on PC

Apparently the latest patch was rolled out on mobile a few hours after PC, because I was able to finish my run on my phone after the patch hit.

I even had time to do a whole new draft and go to 2 losses while reading comments from people saying their Arena run got retired. While this was happening I also couldn’t start HS on PC without updating (which I didn’t do), but I could keep playing on my phone just fine with no update. I finally got booted from the app a few hours after the patch hit PC and was forced to update.

Not sure how that worked technically but I assume there were separate queues for PC and mobile for a while since they were running different versions of the game. The queue seemed noticeably slower.

So yeah, try your phone next time a surprise retire happens. You may get a window of time to finish your run like I did.
